Position Details Position Type: PXU Athletics Date Posted: 8/12/2025 Location: BETTY FAIRFAX HIGH SCHOOL Closing Date: OPEN UNTIL FILLED Responsibilities Enforce federal, state, and district policies, rules, regulations, and procedures. Adhere to standards of professional conduct as outlined in Governing Board Policy. Follow guidelines of the NO Pass/NO Play policy. Ensure safety and welfare of participants in practice areas, locker rooms, and on transportation. Support the athletic program by encouraging student participation. Manage inventory, storage, and care of athletic equipment. Follow district policies related to transportation, student travel, supervision, and facility use. Organize and supervise practices, competitions, and events. Maintain knowledge of the sport coached. Manage budgets related to the athletic program. Ensure proper supervision of assistant and volunteer coaches. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old. Current CPR certification. Meet coaching qualifications, courses, and certifications per district and state criteria. Pass background checks. Recommended by Principal or designee. Receive Governing Board approval. Active Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. Additional Requirements for Head Coaches Possess a valid Arizona Teacher or Substitute Certificate. Volunteer Coaches Must be supervised by a certified staff member at all times. Supervision Received from Unit Principal or Assistant Principal. Given to Assistant and Volunteer Coaches.
