Join CACI as the prime contractor on a growing program supporting NAVSEA 03D3 Digital Program Office as a Database Administrator supporting the Navy Maintenance and Modernization Enterprise Solution (NMMES), a mission-critical program that supports over 45,000 users executing naval ship and submarine maintenance operations worldwide. Responsibilities include supporting database administration tasks for computerized databases, assisting in installing databases onto appropriate computer operating systems, helping create databases and configure them for data warehousing applications, supporting the creation of database objects including Indexes, Clusters, Snapshots, and Views, assisting with management of Rollback Segments and Data File Size, writing basic code for update queries, updating data dictionaries as new fields are added to databases, maintaining data correction logs with proper documentation, supporting database performance monitoring activities, assisting with backup and recovery operations, documenting database procedures and configurations, and working under general supervision to support database operations. Qualifications required are a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, 0 to 5 years of experience in database administration, basic knowledge of database concepts and procedures, understanding of SQL fundamentals, and knowledge of database backup and recovery principles. Desired qualifications include experience with DoD/Navy systems, entry-level database certifications, knowledge of database performance basics, understanding of data security principles, basic scripting abilities, familiarity with database documentation practices, and experience with database monitoring tools. This position is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately. However, this position is representative of positions within CACI that are consistently available.
