Job Title: Journeyman Electrician Job Description

The Journeyman Electrician plays a critical role in supporting factory, agricultural, and operations maintenance activities, ensuring that all work complies with National, State, and Local Electrical Codes. This position involves high-voltage electrical work, equipment troubleshooting, and mentoring junior electricians.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, including generators and switch gears.
• Work with voltages up to 12,470V (3-phase) and lower voltages in single and 3-phase systems.
• Program, troubleshoot, and operate PLCs, DCS, and interlocking systems.
• Use SAP to document and access maintenance records.
• Train and mentor non-licensed personnel working toward licensure.
• Maintain efficient workflow and minimize operational interruptions.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with wiring, mechanical systems, and blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, plumbing, framing, pneumatics, and industrial installations.
• Proficiency with hand tools and fabrication.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman Class A license required; Master license preferred.
• Must maintain current technical knowledge and licensing.
• Forklift certification required (or must be obtained).
• Must pass a Safety Screen evaluating ability to safely perform job duties.

Work Environment

Work within a manufacturing setting, following the Dupont Shift Schedule. This involves working only 7 days within a 14-day window, providing significant time for personal pursuits and relaxation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $88233.00 - $88233.00/yr.
