General Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Leads, motivates, and coordinates the management team to achieve dealership goals.
  • Serves as a role model and servant leader, embodying the company's core values at all times.
  • Promotes a culture focused on guest satisfaction, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Recognizes and praises team members for exceptional performance and guest service.
  • Encourages open communication by explaining the reason behind decisions and inviting ideas, questions, and feedback.

  • Ensures every department prioritizes delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Assists team members in serving guests effectively and never limits responsibilities to job descriptions.
  • Promotes cross-departmental collaboration to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Oversees all dealership operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and compliance.
  • Develops annual operating plans, goals, and forecasts in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Monitors key financial metrics, including departmental forecasts, daily operating reports (DOC), and monthly financial statements.
  • Ensures financial statements are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with lenders, manufacturers, and corporate leadership.
  • Develops merchandising strategies and supports the creation of cost-effective advertising programs.
  • Hires, trains, and motivates all department managers; interviews all final candidates.
  • Conducts regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions with department leaders.
  • Reviews and approves compensation plans within company guidelines.
  • Ensures training requests align with corporate goals and evaluates program effectiveness.
  • Addresses complaints and conducts counseling or terminations per company policy.
  • Ensures adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates with accounting to maintain accurate records and analyses.
  • Upholds attendance, punctuality, appearance, and professional standards.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve dealership and company goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager within an automotive dealership.
  • Ability to adapt to changing demands.
  • Ability to upholds attendance and punctuality.
  • Experience with annual operating plans, goals, and forecasts.
