Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An educational opportunity is available for a licensed Special Education Teacher to serve students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position, running from January 2026 through June 2026, focuses on providing specialized support in self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, and special day classrooms within an elementary to high school setting. The role is located in Dallesport, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and interventions to students with special education needs across K-12 grade levels.
• Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, specialists, and families.
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth and independence.

Qualifications:

• Active State License in Special Education required.
• Experience teaching special education students in self-contained, resource, or special day classroom settings preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with a range of grade levels from elementary through high school.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to student-centered teaching practices and continuous professional development.

Details:

• Contract duration: January 2026 to June 2026
• Work schedule: 5 days per week, 30 to 37.5 hours weekly
• Compensation: $37+ per hour
