Job Title: Low Voltage Technician – Commercial Projects
Location: Sarasota, FL
Pay Range: $20 – $28/hour (DOE)
Bi-Lingual a plus
Job Description:
We are currently seeking skilled Low Voltage Technicians for immediate placement on commercial construction sites in the Sarasota area . Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with low voltage systems and be comfortable working in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling including Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, and fiber optic cables
Mount and connect devices such as access control systems, CCTV, fire alarms, and data networks
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
Follow OSHA safety standards and site-specific protocols
Collaborate with other trades and report to the onsite foreman or project manager
Troubleshoot and repair installed systems as needed
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in low voltage installation on commercial job sites
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Familiarity with tools and equipment used in the trade
Reliable transportation and basic hand tools
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in a team
OSHA 10 certification is a plus
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Occasional weekends depending on project timelines
40+ hours/week with potential overtime
