Alantra is seeking to hire an Experienced Investment Banking Analyst to help support its M&A advisory business within our Cloud Technology practice. The position is located in-person in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of relevant experience in the field and be able to meaningfully contribute to the group on Day 1 with little hands-on training. The Analyst will have the opportunity to work directly with Managing Directors. The environment at Alantra is both collegial and entrepreneurial. Teamwork is essential to the firm’s success. At the same time, creativity and new ideas are welcomed. The ideal candidate should be motivated, creative, outgoing, and possess a strong background in finance and accounting. Responsibilities include conducting industry research and performing individual company analysis, developing financial analysis and models, supporting creation of client proposals and presentations, managing data room and coordinating due diligence process, recruiting, supervising, and developing Interns, and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements include 12 months of relevant prior experience required, preferably in Services/Technology, Bachelor’s degree required (business, economics, finance/accounting majors preferred), knowledge of M&A and capital raising practices, solid finance/accounting knowledge, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills, team player mentality combined with the ability to work independently, strong organization skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables, advanced Microsoft Office suite skills (expert in Excel and PowerPoint), and FINRA Series 79/7 and 63 licenses required or to be obtained within the first six months of employment.
