Duties and responsibilities 

To fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts by setting up and operating machine shop equipment and by fitting and assembling machines parts into production

• Identifies equipment requirements by studying product specifications and equipment blueprints.
• Implements work assignment by studying drawings, blueprints, manuals, and specifications, selecting tools and materials.
• Fabricates equipment parts by setting-up and operating shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders; verifying dimensions.
• Installs equipment by fabricating and assembling parts as needed.
• Modifies equipment by adapting pneumatic, hydraulic, and associated systems; specifying materials.
• Maintains machine shop equipment by diagnosing and correcting equipment failures.
• Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and organized condition by adhering to the company’s standards and policies, following prescribed safety regulations and alerting the appropriate person regarding potential concerns.

Education and experiencie

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5 + years as Machinist with previous experience on all phases of Machining operations
• Must be able to read blue prints
• Ability to work with hand tools and precision measurement devices
