Maintenance Technician

Location: 4540 West Glendale Ave Glendale, AZ 85301

We are looking for an exceptional Maintenance person to perform a variety of general maintenance and custodial duties in and around school buildings including plumbing, painting, landscaping, and repairs. The Academies of Math and Science are ranked among the highest performing schools in Arizona with 20 years of proven results.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain school equipment including the cafeteria, restrooms, and other facilities in a functional condition; recommend and oversee the replacement of equipment as needed
• Maintain records of maintenance performed as necessary
• Maintain a supply of and account for cleaning supplies and equipment; maintain an adequate inventory at all times
• Comply with chemical handling laws and safety regulations as required; maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain security of buildings, equipment, and tools
• Be able to respond quickly to maintenance and plumbing emergencies
• Answer questions and interact professionally with school administration
• Provide sound recommendations to administration and business office on matters involving outside contractors
• Assist with various maintenance projects both large and small on campus

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates Must Have:

• 3+ years of related experience
• Ability to pass a background check and obtain an IVP fingerprint clearance card
