The Opportunity

As Marketing Assistant, youll support Memehouses marketing and community efforts from recruiting and managing student ambassadors, to executing guerrilla campus activations, to helping organize events at Memehouse LA. Youll work closely with the Director of Marketing and cross-functional team (talent, content, and events) to drive growth and engagement across our community.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and tracking of ambassadors at pilot schools (USC, UCLA, SDSU, ASU, UT Austin).
• Coordinate ambassador kits (merch, flyers, QR codes) and manage distribution.
• Track KPIs: posts, impressions, and campus engagement.
• Help execute meme drops, QR campaigns, sticker placements, and street-level marketing.
• Collect and organize user-generated content from ambassadors and students.
• Monitor social chatter, hashtags, and engagement tied to Memehouse campaigns.
• Assist in planning and promoting Memehouse events and activations.
• Manage RSVPs, guest communications, and on-site logistics.
• Support content capture and recap deliverables.
• Help keep marketing calendars, decks, and reporting organized.
• Track influencer and ambassador metrics in Airtable/Notion.
• Assist with brand partnership outreach prep (lists, decks, research).

Experience / Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a college/university (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and meme culture.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in fast-moving environments.
• Comfortable with event logistics, grassroots marketing, and ambassador management.
• Passion for crypto, gaming, streaming, or culture-driven marketing a plus.
• Tools familiarity (Canva, Google Suite, Airtable/Notion) preferred.
