The County of Yuba is currently recruiting for the position of Office Assistant in the Victim Services division within the Probation department. Under close supervision, provides a limited range of administrative support for an assigned department, including tasks such as word processing, data entry, reception duties, scheduling, website updates, record maintenance, creating routine forms, memoranda, correspondence, reports, and operating office equipment as needed; and performs related duties as assigned. Additionally, the individual in this role serves as the face of the department and must be willing to assist both the general public and County staff.
Education and Experience:
MINIMUM: Equivalent to graduation from high school and some office work experience, including volunteer work.
PREFERRED: In addition to the minimum, 30 semester or 45 quarter units from an accredited college with major coursework in business or public administration or related field and two (2) years of office support experience in a public agency. Certain positions may prefer increased typing accuracy and speed.
Salary/Compensation: $3,391 - $3,731 per month
