Reporting to the Nurse Manager, Patient Care Tech IIs will provide direct bedside care to patients: Performs assigned nursing procedures for the comfort and well-being of the patient; Maintains appropriate documentation on all assigned patients, including flow sheets; Maintains advanced knowledge and experience with phlebotomy and lab specimen collection including T&S, Blood Cultures; Assists physicians with examinations and tests as needed; Other tasks include respiratory services, and rehabilitation services. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; One of the following is required: PCT or related certification, Certified nursing assistant (CNA), EMT; Minimum of 2 years nursing assistant, PCT or healthcare experience required. Certification and completion of advanced skills and knowledge training within six months of hire accepted in lieu of experience requirement; AHA BLS required.
