Summary:

This practicum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive hands-on experience in the practice of pharmacy professions in both community and specialty pharmacies, as appropriate. During the program, trainees will have the opportunity to become familiar with all the processes of the prescriber, from the receipt of orders to the final dispensing of prescriptions. This encompasses prescription verification, medication preparation and dispensing, as well as direct patient care.

As a student, you will play a key role in modeling our values and demonstrating that at Alivia Health our patients come first. In addition, you will learn how to support the procedures and management of the pharmacy staff in the prescriber, including:

• Compliance and quality
• Customer service
• Prescription interpretation
• Inventory management
• Pharmaceutical patient records
• Medication receipt and dispensing
• Pill counting
• Preparing, packaging and labeling medication
• Familiar with PrimeRx Platform

Requirements:

Enrolled in a technical level pharmacy program at an institution of higher education, whose curriculum is accredited.
