Registered Nurse (RN), Geriatric Psych SH, Evening Night at Nuvance Health summary:

The Registered Nurse in Geriatric Psychiatry provides comprehensive nursing care and leadership during evening and night shifts. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care activities, and managing therapeutic environments for geriatric psychiatric patients. The role requires licensed RN credentials, BLS and CPI certifications, and experience in acute care nursing.

*Required: Sign-On Bonus for external candidates with minimum of 1-year current RN Acute Care experience. Internal candidates who transfer to bonus eligible positions do not qualify. Bonus paid over a three year period of continuous full time employment.

Standard Hours: 36.00
Work Shift: 6:45pm-7:15am, every other weekend, holidays

Purpose:The Registered Nurse executes comprehensive nursing care activities and provides nursing staff leadership. He/she assesses patient needs, plans and implements patient care activities, and evaluates the patient’s response to treatment. He/she manages activities within the therapeutic milieu and directs the delivery of nursing care by other members of the nursing treatment team. Population served is based on scope of services in the department.
Required:

• CT RN License Required
• Accredited School of Nursing Graduate
• BLS Certification Required
• CPI Certification
