What You’ll Do
As a Safety Officer, you’ll be more than just a presence—you’ll be a trusted partner in safety. Your responsibilities will include:
Patrolling and monitoring facilities to maintain a secure environment
Enforcing safety rules, policies, and procedures with fairness and professionalism
Responding quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances
Writing clear, accurate daily reports and incident documentation
Managing access points, checking IDs, and safeguarding restricted areas
Identifying potential hazards and reporting maintenance or safety concerns
Supporting emergency drills and promoting safety awareness
Assisting during events, transitions, and high-traffic times
Collaborating with staff, students, and local emergency responders
What We’re Looking For
High school diploma or GED
At least 2 years of experience in security, public safety, law enforcement, or a related field
Valid security license (as required by state/local regulations)
Calm, professional demeanor under pressure
Strong communication, observation, and conflict-resolution skills
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience in a school, campus, or residential setting
Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and safety protocols
Valid driver’s license
Bilingual skills (English/Spanish or other languages) are a plus
Schedule
Full-time position
Must be flexible for rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
