Supervises front-line, 24-hour security and provides support to the Security Department. Responsible for upholding the integrity of the facility and correcting any guests, clients and employees acting outside the facility rules and regulations. The Security Supervisor will uphold the Security Department’s Prime Directives, most importantly to take reasonable steps to protect the safety and security of venue guests, employees and assets with respect towards everyone’s dignity and legal rights. This position requires a flexible work schedule, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Essential duties include training, counseling, disciplining, evaluating and supervising staff in accordance with ASM T-Mobile Center & Security Department philosophy, policies and procedures; deploying staff and assigning shifts, breaks and equipment; investigating, evaluating and documenting incidents; handling complaints; ensuring proper use of security software systems; operating surveillance cameras and conducting metal detector and wand checks; managing security department administrative functions; planning and coordinating security activities; manning the security base command center and establishing post positions; ensuring regular patrols of the building; and other duties as assigned. Required qualifications include a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3 years of related work experience, supervisory/management experience, ability to obtain and maintain a commission license, strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, knowledge of security rules and regulations, ability to handle confidential information, physical ability to move materials up to 45 lbs and work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Preferred qualifications include a BA/BS degree and experience in sporting events, concerts, and/or game management and production. Some tasks may expose employees to hazardous chemicals and safety precautions must be followed.
