The established tech company is building a "skunkworks" team to build new web and mobile platforms, all new engineering, no support or maintenance of legacy systems! Direct Hire FTE role with a small team that works hybrid 2 days a week in Phoenix.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer Engineer to join our dynamic newly formed product development team aka “Skunkworks team”. This team will build brand new highly scalable consumer-facing applications using domain-driven architecture, cloud-native technologies, and modern best practices. This platform will also incorporate different AI aspects and tooling and this is all new build, no legacy systems, no support all new build.

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on with coding with both GraphQL and REST based APIs and leveraging those APIs on the UI
• Strong hands-on skill set with React/Node or Next/Node (can lean FE or BE here)
• Be an active participant in the architectural design of an event-based system that leverages the latest in cloud-native technologies.
• Adopt and leverage A.I. tools in the daily software development cycle to enhance product functionality, optimize system performance, and improve user experience.
• Be prepared to innovate, learn, and lead in a high-paced environment, showing a growth mindset and problem-solving skills at every opportunity.
• Showcase innovation, continuous learning, and leadership in a high-paced environment, demonstrating a growth mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, perform code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Requirements:

• Strong language expertise in ES6
• Server and client development experience with Node.js and ReactJS
• Experience with GraphQL
• Delivered production systems leveraging sql and nosql solutions with Mysql / Postgres and MongoDB
• Extensive experience with Redis and caching at scale
• Experience with event driven architectures ideally with Kafka or SQS
• Was a key engineer on multiple complex projects with significant architectural or design contributions

The ideal candidate will also have

• Extensive AWS experience
• Familiarity with NextJS
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development
• Experience in either a startup environment or consumer application environment (or both)
• Leveraged OpenAPI and/or Protobufs to define APIs
• Successfully partnered with remote development teams
• Nice to have
• ElasticSearch experience including index and environment management
• Python Experience
• gRPC experience
• Built CI/CD pipelines
