Our client is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead high-level environmental investigations and remediation projects across multiple U.S. locations. This is a career-defining opportunity for a seasoned expert to drive strategic site solutions, mentor cross-disciplinary teams, and interface with regulators and clients at a leadership level. About the Role As a Senior Hydrogeologist, you'll spearhead complex site investigations and groundwater remediation initiatives, leveraging your expertise in contaminant fate and transport modeling, regulatory compliance, and technical team leadership. You'll contribute directly to projects under CERCLA, RCRA, and related programs, and support litigation and long-term environmental stewardship efforts. Key Responsibilities Design and manage hydrogeologic investigations including drilling programs, aquifer testing, sampling, and well installations. Lead development of conceptual site models and contaminant transport assessments. Interpret field and analytical data to inform risk assessments, remedial design, and regulatory reporting. Apply advanced groundwater flow and transport modeling (e.g., MODFLOW, MT3D). Oversee field operations, ensuring safety compliance and coordination of contractors. Write, review, and approve technical reports, sampling plans, SOPs, and work plans. Mentor junior staff and lead internal knowledge sharing efforts. Act as a subject matter expert in client and regulatory engagements. Perform modeling, LTM optimization studies, statistical evaluations, and sequence stratigraphy analyses. Provide litigation support including affidavits, discovery, and expert testimony. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Hydrology, Engineering, or related field. 15 20 years of experience in hydrogeology or environmental consulting. Professional licensure as a P.G. or P.E. (by exam) is required. Expert-level proficiency in groundwater modeling and remediation strategies. Strong familiarity with CERCLA, RCRA, and state-specific regulations. Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams. Advanced writing and data analysis skills; experience with GIS a plus. Proficiency with modeling software such as MODFLOW, MT3D, EVS, VISTAS. Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required. Willingness to travel up to 30% (including overnight).
