Job Summary

We're looking for a skilled SQL Developer with expertise in Informatica to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases and ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of database design principles, and a proven track record of creating efficient and reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Development: Design, create, and maintain SQL databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, and functions. Optimize and tune SQL queries for maximum performance.
• ETL Development: Develop, test, and deploy ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter. This includes creating mappings, transformations, and workflows to extract data from various sources, transform it, and load it into a data warehouse or other target systems.
• Data Analysis: Analyze data requirements and design appropriate database schemas and ETL solutions. Troubleshoot data-related issues and ensure data integrity and quality.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and analyze database and ETL job performance. Implement optimizations to improve speed and efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, business analysts, and other developers to understand project requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for all database and ETL processes, including design specifications, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• SQL Expertise: Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Experience with database design and normalization.
• Informatica PowerCenter: Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, including knowledge of mappings, transformations (e.g., Aggregator, Router, Joiner), and workflow management.
• Database Management Systems (DBMS): Experience with one or more major database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Data Warehousing: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling (star and snowflake schemas), and ETL best practices.
• Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux/Unix command-line tools for scripting and job scheduling.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in a team environment.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Talend) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting.
