• Location: Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina nursing jobs)\n
• Facility: Level I Trauma Center & Magnet Hospital\n
• Setting: Outpatient Clinic – Adult Sickle Cell Unit\n
• Assignment Type: Travel RN, 13-week contract\n
• Start Date: January 5, 2026\n
• End Date: April 6, 2026\n
• Shifts: Alternating 4x9hr (Mon-Thurs 7:30am-5pm, Fri 8am-12pm) and 4x10hr (Mon-Thurs 7am-5:30pm)\n
• Hours per Week: 40 (guaranteed hours; facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks)\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1580 - $1700\n
• Patient Ratio: 1:3\n
• Charting System: Epic\n
• Scrub Color: Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license (must be active prior to start)\n
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (travel nursing experience required)\n
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)\n
• Proficiency with Epic charting system\n
• Outpatient clinic nursing experience preferred\n
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred\n
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n
• Ability to complete pre-start compliance and orientation modules\n

\n\nRN Responsibilities – Adult Sickle Cell Clinic\n

\n
• Deliver compassionate nursing care to adult patients with sickle cell disease and chronic conditions (CKD, diabetes, hypertension, cardiac disease)\n
• Manage acute sickle cell crises, including IV fluid administration, pain management, and blood transfusions\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV team, pharmacy, social services, rapid response)\n
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EHR\n
• Participate in self-scheduling and maintain a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio\n
• Operate clinical equipment such as Dynamap, Alaris IV pumps, and EKG machines\n
• Follow all facility policies, including emergency protocols during hurricane season (June-November)\n
