S&S Tire of Nashville, TN a leading multi-location regional wholesale tire dealer is seeking to add a Warehouse Team Lead to our Nashville, TN Wholesale location.

Duties performed in this position include, but are not limited to:

Warehouse Lead tasks

• Assists warehouse manager with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by the warehouse team.
• Supervises all shipping and receiving activities performed by the warehouse team; maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees on the warehouse floor throughout the shift.
• Leads by example, trains, motivates, and coaches warehouse team
• Reviews prioritize and organize all outgoing orders.
• Coordinates with the warehouse manager to manage personnel issues and requests.
• Leads crew by example by loading trucks and/or performing other duties as necessary.
• Performs administrative tasks as necessary.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all warehouse operations.

Warehouse Receiver tasks

• Loads unloads, checks, and tallies tires to and from carriers [trailer trucks]
• Selects, packs, counts, marks, and palletizes tires of customer orders and places them in the assigned staging areas according to the bin locator system.
• Checks and verifies the accuracy of selecting, packing, weighing, marking, and counting of tires for customer orders.
• May operate order picker, pallet jacks, and other equipment in the execution of duties.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met in operating the equipment.
• Performs required counting, tallying, and marking on related inventory control documents.
• Participates in cycle and/or annual physical inventories.
• Ensures safety guidelines are met by the proper palletizing, re-palletizing, and restacking of tires.
• Maintain compliance with procedures and policies

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of warehouse lead, supervisory, or management experience.
• Strong inventory control skills.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices.
• Previous experience supervising and motivating associates
• This position requires manual labor, lifting tires up to 150 lbs. Must be able to lift and/or move tires with or without mechanical assistance
• Must be willing and able to operate all warehouse related equipment, such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical kills
• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

• Competitive compensation starting at $22.00 per hour , based on experience
• Full-time, permanent position, with weekly pay
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5 pm
