The CSA supports sales partners by crafting technical, functional, and clinical capabilities for Baxter’s Care Communications products. The portfolio includes Nurse Call Systems, Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), Patient Engagement Systems, Clinical Communication and Collaboration Systems, Alarm and Alert Management and Medical Device Integration. Together these internally developed, and third-part products and solutions are focused on a vision of unifying the software platform to drive workflow efficiency, improve patient outcomes, patient care, patient safety and strengthen patient engagement. The product(s) this team, and this role, focuses on are Nurse Call, RTLS and Patient Engagement Systems. This role is part of the Clinical Solutions Architect Team that provides regional coverage throughout the United States, while also providing cross-region support during deal opportunity peaks. This role works with the Clinical Solutions Architect Manager. Responsibilities include collaborating with Sales partners to define scope of solution that aligns with Customer needs and expectations of Baxter Care Communications portfolio; partnering with key internal partners to deliver first pass yield of Nurse Call Solution Designs and Quotes; conducting onsite facility walkthroughs to validate in scope clinical and ancillary departments to facility provided drawings; reviewing proposed solution design with internal and external customers to ensure accuracy and breadth of scope; fostering positive relationships with internal partners during the process of developing Statements of Work, Quotes, Change Order, Concessions from inception to closure; developing and maintaining Statement of Work language to support project initiative(s); providing supporting deal documentation to Order Management, Service Delivery Teams, etc.; assisting with internal and external customer communication, education, and presentations; identifying, supporting, and promoting opportunities to improve Solution Design & Quoting process(es) with an attitude of continuous improvement; and other duties as assigned. The role requires 50% travel. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree (BS or equivalent experience) in healthcare, computer science, IT or other relevant fields, or a minimum 5 years in a sales engineer, implementation engineer, system administrator, architect, or project management role preferably in the healthcare industry. Familiarity with clinical technology systems that support patient care and patient safety initiatives is required. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with and ability to read and understand complete construction drawings, experience with general contractor, electrical contractor or low-voltage contractor, ability to work to deadlines and manage workload, knowledge of IT network, servers, and infrastructure, experience estimating multiple scopes, 3 years of progressive experience in AutoCAD, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
