Job Description

To provide efficient processing and delivery of incoming and outgoing US mail and various special mails. Job qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year work experience in a business environment preferred, knowledge of mail equipment and USPS regulations helpful but not required, strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential materials, attention to detail, teamwork skills, good problem solving skills, and proven customer service skills. Job duties include processing incoming mail/packages by date stamping, sorting, distributing US Mail and special mails (Fed Ex, UPS, Parcel Post, etc.), maintaining files, logs and records on all incoming mail, delivering special and rush packages, and delivering mail to departments or pre-established drop areas. Outgoing mail/packages duties include completing all mailings timely, sorting and stamping outgoing mail, processing outgoing accountable packages, operating postage machine according to policy and regulations, preparing Certified, Registered, Insured articles, special mails, maintaining files, logs, and records, daily pickup of outgoing and interoffice mail. Other duties include maintaining a clean shipping area and van, communicating with supervisor or client on job or deadline issues, assisting in orienting new employees, utilizing software mail applications, answering telephone in mailroom, adhering to C&W Services and client site policies, using equipment and supplies cost efficiently, and other duties as directed by management.
