About the Role

Jointly working with the line leader to chalk out a growth strategy and business plan in the field of small molecule CDMO for the company to meet its vision and goals.

Responsibilities

Building out a robust business development strategy in the small molecule CDMO.
Nurturing the right partnerships in the small molecule CDMO and building the eco-system for the company that enables greater visibility in the market and healthy lead flow.
Participating in management meetings and senior leadership discussions on key strategic matters.
Responsible for developing new customers (large, medium sized pharma companies and biotech companies) located within the North America region with focus on small molecule CDMO business.
Strong focus on budgets, targets and its achievements.
Building out a nimble, agile and flexible business development team in the small molecule CDMO.
Target setting, performance monitoring, coaching and guiding the BD team in the small molecule CDMO.
Identifying areas of improvement in teams and processes and take necessary initiatives to bridge these gaps.
Providing regular report to the leadership team on progress against the business plan.
Constantly influencing the market through participation in industry forums and market events.
Constantly fine tuning the quoting process based on customer feedback.
Constantly interpreting customer, market and technology trends and providing feedback to the leadership team to drive future roadmap in the small molecule CDMO.
Constantly providing feedback to R&D and Operations management departments to drive operations excellence.
Take full responsibility and accountability for achieving the business development targets.
