As a WordPress Developer at WPForms, you will work on a diverse team that builds and supports a wide range of web sites. We’re looking for someone with experience in eCommerce and multiple payment gateways, with a mindset for troubleshooting payment and subscription challenges.
At WPForms, our products power customer experiences and support our platform’s long-term growth. We’re hiring a certified full‑stack WordPress Developer to join this team.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will often extend beyond WordPress to support all parts of the stack and the codebase. These include maintaining and extending existing features, optimizing performance, securing our code, writing tests for your own work, and reviewing teammates’ code. You will work in a collaborative environment where ideas are valued and progress is supported.
Minimum Qualifications
Extremely acquainted with WordPress and all of its intricacies.
Experience leveraging and integrating with third‑party social APIs.
Proficiency in modern PHP practices (OOP, autoloading, namespacing, traits, interfaces).
Familiarity with bundle managers (Composer & NPM).
Strong understanding of HTML & CSS/SCSS for building responsive UIs.
Branching & merging workflows and experience with Git & GitHub.
AI‑savvy, comfortable using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Co‑Pilot, and always exploring ways to leverage AI effectively.
WordPress eCommerce expertise.
eCommerce payment experience with Stripe and/or PayPal.
WP‑CLI proficiency and Linux/Shell scripting ability, with the capacity to support occasional DevOps tasks.
A curious mind, good at troubleshooting.
Willingness to learn!
Bonus Skills
Experience creating custom blocks for the Gutenberg editor.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
